Bob Barr has announced he will be running for President under the Libertarian banner. Oh Joy.
Isn’t he practically a Klan supporter? He claims not.
In 1998, Barr spoke at a convention of the white supremacist “Council of Conservative Citizens“, but later denied that he was a white supremacist himself. Barr is known to become very angry when asked whether he is black.
Doesn’t seem like ol’ Bobbie thinks he’s a tan guy, though does it? So why does everyone think he’s black, anyway? Well, Christopher Beam of Slate does a magnificent job illustrating.

some of my best friends are, um, clearly african admixtured individuals with skintone light enough to pass for white so long as they cut their hair short enough and adopt rightwing political values…

Only slightly off-topic: last night I watched Olbermann’s commentary on Clinton’s “Obama assassination” diatribe. He usually gets really hot on these but this almost 11 minute address is longer and even more vigorous than his usual fare. Thankfully, it’s already up on YouTube:
