Souter is Bailing from SCOTUS….CLINTON!!!111!!!
May 1, 2009
NPR has the call
At 69, Souter is nowhere near the oldest member of the court. In fact, he is in the younger half of the court’s age range, with five justices older and just three younger. So far as anyone knows, he is in good health.
Souter plans to retire at the end of the current Court term giving Obama his first opportunity to nominate a Justice. This blog endorses Bill Clinton!!! AHAHAHAHAAHHAH!!!
(no, really, I’m totes serious.)

See, I’d go with Hillary. Lady-parts AND she won’t quit to run again, ever.

Clinton (either) would be great if only to see Hannity, OReilly’s and Limbaugh’s heads literally explode.
O please, o please, o please…….
Russ Feingold would kick some ass too. He’s great to have in the Senate (and possibly as Prez someday) but he could do so much more long-term good on the SCOTUS.

Dude, as far as I am aware, Clinton has been disbarred and never reinstated.

Dudeman, as far as I am aware there is no requirement for a Justice to ever have been a lawyer.

Dudeliness, do you really think that Obama would appoint or the Senate confirm a disbarred attorney to the Supreme Court? Regardless, it appears that Clinton’s five-year disbarment ended in early 2006, but I can’t find any information about whether he has applied for reinstatement in Arkansas or for admission to any other state bar. Anyone know if he is currently a member of any bar?

I am increasingly amazed that there are no web-tracks on this subject. Might we conclude he has not applied for reinstatement otherwise surely the rightwingers would still be talking about it?
