I Used to Love the Clintons Too

Commenter Anonymoustache responded to my post on Hillary’s “you have a choice” take with this:

I’m trying not to blog about this kinda crap by Hillary—and it is taking all my willpower not to do so. I can’t resist this comment though…

Yeah, me too. Me too, my friend. Trouble is, she’s going all crazeee trying to beat Mo’bama and we’re left with this from Field Negro:

I used to love the Clintons. I loved the fact that they went to Washington and pissed conservatives off. I loved their down and dirty fuck you political skills, and I loved their take no prisoner style. It served them well when these crazy ass loons on the right made Clinton hunting their favorite sport.

But, sorry folks, I just don’t love those mofos anymore.
Right now, I just don’t love those mofos anymore either Field. Daaaayam.

  1. “And the notion that somehow it’s cute or amusing, or a useful diversion, I think, is something that all of us have to recognize is just not the case. We all have First Amendment rights. And I am a constitutional lawyer and strongly believe in free speech, but as a culture, we really have to do some soul-searching to think about what kind of toxic information are we feeding our kids,”

They went from pissing off the wackos to acting like them more and more. I’m still saddened by the whole thing—I would have bet big money that HRC would have run a really progressive kick-ass take-no-prisoners campaign against the wackos without resorting to undercutting other Dems. Good thing I’m not a betting man.
Heck, half the crowd booed the Fortunate Son when he went out to throw the first pitch last night in DC! The freaking president getting booed at a freaking ballgame, where he is the invitee of honor—he restored honor to the office all right!
Anyway, this shows how this country is ripe for the taking with just a simple positive progressive message. Obama appears to have figured this out a while ago—so he deserves the props.
