What about “up or down vote”?

So, as expected Sotomayor cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee. Not all that surprising. Also, the Republican members acted like hypocritical partisan idiots, given that last time around they were universally claiming that Bush got to nominate Roberts and scAlito and insinuating that Dems should just rubber stamp them.
The panel’s 13-6 vote for Sotomayor masked deep political divisions within GOP ranks about confirming President Barack Obama’s first high court nominee. Just one Republican, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, joined Democrats to support her, although four others have said they’ll vote for Sotomayor when her nomination comes before the full Senate next week — and that number is expected to grow.
Whut? Could they be even more craven? Remember the “up or down vote”
talking shouting point? This is like anti-logic to that. These Repubs on the Senate Judiciary Committee are voting against an up or down vote (i.e., not to let her out of Committee) but indicating they’ll vote for her when it comes to an up or down vote on the floor?
Good God what total fucking tools.
